What is carpet agitation during the cleaning process and why is it so important?

It's simple really, the agitation process is the action of loosening soil to make it easier to remove from wherever it's attached to. It's not too complicated of a process but it often gets missed. Most people don't see the value in purchasing the agitation step when cleaning their carpets so let me explain why it's so important.

If you are washing your hands, you first apply the cleaning product (in this case soap) and then you agitate your hands by rubbing them together. Then you rinse your hands under water making them nice and clean.
